GENPOP SERVICES

Presently we offer design, marketing, distribution, and promotional services: we can take care of a few things for your press or project, or we can take care of it all. We have experience with an array of projects including magazines, non-profit literary organizations, and author websites.

Our clients have individual visions and goals, and we tailor our services accordingly. GenPop is also selective: rather than trying to be everything to everyone, our mission is to provide chosen clients with the very best of what our members have to offer. Below are just a few examples of our work. If you are interested in talking with us about a project, please contact us.

Book Design, Production, Distribution, Promotion…

GenPop Books can do more than design your project: we can also assist or manage the entire production and distribution process from quotes to retail sales, from the book-object to its web presence.

We can handle just about any print run or page count, from hardcover to paperback, and we can take care of all the “little” things that aren’t so little:

* securing ISBNs and listings in Bowker’s Books In Print
* sales to vendors like Amazon & Barnes & Noble
* direct sales via PayPal or CCNow or other credit card handlers
* sales from your website or a website hosted by us
* distribution through GenPop Books and others
* web and print advertising to fit any budget

Web Design for Authors

.

We can help authors establish their first presence on the Web, or upgrade an author’s older website.

An author’s webpage, as with any design work, can be simple or elaborate. A website that simply carries a few poems, a list of publications, a few interviews, etc. is pretty straightforward, and we can get you up and running quickly. If you need something elaborate—or something, well, stunning—then we’ll need a month’s notice or thereabouts….

Says GenPop Consortium member Noah Saterstrom, of the Artist Website Service, “Artist Website Service provides website design for artists, writers, and arts organizations at a low price. Our mission is to build clean, simple sites that extend your community for as little expense as possible. Our designers are also artists–we are responsive to the specific needs of the artist. We are also a small organization–artists helping artists build community.”

Web Design for Presses and Magazines

Members of the GenPop Collective have years of experience with online literature and arts. We can help new web-editors create their own online literary journal, or we can help establish a web presence for a print journal. We can guide you from choosing and registering a domain name, to creating and/or maintaining your website. We can remodel or work with your pre-existing website, or (if we really dig what you’re up to) host your journal on our servers: yourmag.genpopbooks.com
